Hey! hi, my name is Suganya Hariharan, speaker behind RelishTheBite.ย My โfactual jobโ is writing SQL queries ๐ for my Quality Control analyst position and in cooking department:ย I do the cooking, writing, and photography for the blog ๐ย .ย I live in Montreal, Canada but originally from Chennai, India. I am certain you can observe that from my looks and outfit from my photo ๐
Reason behind โRelish The Bite”:
I was a pampered kid back home. Always there was fresh hot food readily served on the table whenever I came home. Like everyone I was pushed to a situation to cook when I came for my studies to Montreal leaving my parents in India. I surely have to mention that I used to trouble my close ones and continue to trouble them with my new recipes, but they were too nice to bare it ๐ mostly. Out of nowhere, one day I started dreamingย aboutย creating a food blog. But I had a small fear that it may be too late, there are so many great food blogs out there. How will mine make a difference or stand out in that big league.ย Then i gave a fine thought. Someday my great grand kids would want a recipe, and they can dig into this. They may or may not. I may not have some great savings, time for my family and friends but why not something like this which can always stay in their memories. And also mine :D! I can always develop more ones looking back my old recipes ๐ย . Why not create my own food chronicle. And top of all this, I was wondering processing my mind about what is giving me happiness in life from all the tiny concerns and stress. And I strongly believe that it is Cooking that makes me move on, gives me back my smile when I lost it somewhere: Why not spread that joy ๐ย .
And other Facts:ย
I enjoy cycling on my bike ,singing, dressing up , walking top of the mount just to see my dearest city Montreal on its beauteous way and of course shopping( just not shopping clothes.. even grocery shopping excites me!) . I love eating more than cooking. No wonder ๐ I guess I should stop now as I could easily list 100 and more.

Hi Suki,
A big hello to you.
Came across your site through a facebook group called Vegetarian recipes in which I am also member.
When I read your about me page, I could relate to it much. I too share your same story; learnt cooking the hard way when I had gone for my studies in UK and missed home food like anything.
Your photos are really nice, and your blog looks great. Would love to know which camera u are using.
Anyways, as a blogger who have started a journey myself, I thought I would pop in and say a hi. Wishing you good luck.
Btw, your picture is cool. You look beautiful.
Thanks for the blog
Regards

Hi suki. I tried your breast of lamb recipe. Khaki ghost. I did it for about 5 hours in a a slow cooker. It was one of the best curries that i have had for ages. It is years since I cooked a curry using spices. We got into the habit of using the jars of paste. The difference with your recipe was amazing. It has made me enthusiastic about cooking curries again. 1 question. The ingredients suggest 2 tablespoons of salt. Is that correct. I just used 2 teaspoons.
I am really looking forward to trying some more of your recipes. Mike
