You can use the marination for any fish and make this recipe. Buying the exact fish here is the biggest task. I wanted to get king fish but i got only the red snapper. It was still good but too small and had lot of bones. But many like the small fish variety as they are tastier and crispier when it comes to fish fry.Deep frying in oil makes the fish hard. So, i would say try to pan fry the fishes. You save lot of oil and better for health.
You can adjust the spice level according to your taste. This spicy aromatic fish fry can be eaten as an appetizer or goes well with rice and some curry. There are different ways of preparing a fish fry. This is a simple and tasty one to start with. You can do masala fish fry, kerala style fish fry and so on.
Some add flour to it, but i feel it is not needed for now. This requires minimal oil but still had a crunchy outer and taste palatable. My friend always mentions to me that a sunday afternoon is not complete without a fish fry 🙂 . Its so easy to make, healthy and tasty! what else do you need for a blissful lunch :)! I would say do not overcrowd the pan when frying the fish. The final coat of rice flour gives that crispy texture and makes it stay crispy longer.
